The Venice Carnival celebrates 300 years of Giacomo Casanova

On the 300th anniversary of his birth, the Venice Carnival returns to enchant the world from February 14 to March 4, 2025, with a special edition titled “The Time of Casanova”, dedicated to the timeless figure of the Venetian.
The famous Carnival animates the city with a series of events and events. Here are some key events:
Venetian Festival – Carnival water procession 2025
On Sunday 16 February, from 11:00 to 12:30, a water procession on the Grand Canal will kick off the celebrations.

From 15 to 23 February, every day at 12:00 in Piazza San Marco, the parade of the most creative and fascinating masks will be held.
The Feast of the Maries – The water procession
On Saturday 22 February, from 3.30pm to 5pm, a water procession will start from the Grand Canal and culminate in Piazza San Marco, recalling a historical Venetian tradition.
Water show at the Arsenale
Evening show at the Arsenale Darsena Grande, scheduled for Wednesday 19th and Saturday 22nd February, from 6.45pm to 9.00pm.
